The 250 cc Sprint model cycle that was produced throughout most of the 1960s was essentially reintroduced as the 350 cc SX-350 model in 1971. Wed like to hope that this issue among others were fixed while in the recall but this is still a bad stain on the bikes legacy. The 65 cc M-65 the 100 cc Baja and the 125 cc Rapido models were all produced by Harley-Davidson until 1972.

This was the era when we saw H-D diving in to dirt bike and motocross racing with the Baja model. After 1980 with the history of the Harley-Davidson Evolution Engine only the engine from this dirt track racing bike model became available. The design was given to the world as part of German war reparations. The Harley-Davidson XR-750 is a racing motorcycle made by Harley-Davidson since 1970 primarily for dirt track racing but also for road racing in the XRTT variant. Their 350SS street bike was hopelessly outclassed by Japanese twins of the same capacity so to squeeze a few more years out of the ageing Aermacchi design they moved the 350 single into a bracket where standing quarter times and racetrack handling were less important.
